May the Luck of the Irish be with you, and not just on St. Paddy’s Day!! This pattern is fairly simple, and also a great way to practice your crochet. It is written in both US and UK terminology.  Let’s get started!!

 

What You’ll Need

  • Any size crochet hook (I used a size H/8)
  • Yarn (Any color works)
  • Scissors (I recommend, a small pair)
  • Yarn needle

 

US Terms

Abbreviations 
MC – magic circle
CH – chain
ST – stitch
SC – single crochet
DC – double crochet
Sl St – slip stitch

Main
MC ch 3, 3 dc into center, 1 st into center (if you don’t know the MC, ch 3, and dc 3 into second ch from hook) *rep* 2-3 times

Stem
ch5, sc in each st, sl st at bottom of clover, Finish off, and sew in ends

UK Terms

Abbreviations 

MC – magic circle
CH – chain
ST – stitch
DC – double crochet
TR – triple crochet
SS – slip stitch

Main
In MC ch3, 3 tr into center, 1 ss into center *rep* 2 times for 3 leaf or 4 times for 4 leaf

Stem
Ch 5, dc in each st, ss at bottom of clover, Finish Off and sew in ends
